Open the Network And Dial-Up Connections window. 2. Click the Local Area Connection icon, and then select Properties. 3. In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, click Install. 4. In the Select Network Component Type dialog box, select a network component type, and then click Add. 5. In the Select Network Protocol dialog box, select a component to install, and then click OK.9Removing a Windows 2000 Networking Component To remove a Windows 2000 networking component: 1. Open the Network And Dial-Up Connections window. 2. Right-click the Local Area Connection icon, and then select Properties. 3. In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, select an installed component from the component list. 4. Click Uninstall. 10Accessing the TCP/IP Client Configuration Interface To open the TCP/IP client configuration interface: 1. In the Start menu's Settings group, select Network And Dial-Up Connections to display the Network And Dial-Up Connections window. 2. Right-click the Local Area Connection icon in the Network And Dial-Up Connections window, and then select Properties to display the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box. 3. Open the Network And Dial-Up Connections window. 2. Open the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box. 3. Open the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box. 4.
